After one week in Singapore I can say we learned our first lesson in doing business over here. We found an apartment we liked and wanted, we had a verbal agreement and signed a letter of intent but apparently both mean shit. Needless to say the apartment was snatched up at the last second by another tenant.

So we are back where we started. And the clock’s ticking…

One week and one day before we leave for Singapore and this is the place we will be staying at once we arrive. It’s the Grand Plaza park Hotel. Looks good, but their website could use a design and code make-over / upgrade hint, hint.

Finally the real countdown has started: December 15, Niki and I will board the plane that will - hopefully - bring us to Singapore. First mission once we get there: finding an apartment.
